Free DVD in The Sunday Times (with 'exclusive' feature?)

PostPosted by Pod's Ennui » Fri Jun 12, 2009 9:28 am

Can someone confirm whether or not the edition of W&I that The Sunday Times is giving away this weekend really does feature an 'exclusive' 'behind the scenes' featurette? I've never known free DVDs with papers to be anything other than Vanilla editions, so is this news as good as it sounds?

It seems so - I just thought someone here might be 'in the know'.

It says so on the advert. Well worth buying anyway I reckon!

I bought it when they did How to Get Ahead in Advertising, I'll probably buy it again. Be good to have a cheap copy
They found him wandering round Regent's Park with a cheap bottle of sherry...

And like a fool I mixed them and it strangled up my mind, and now people just get uglier and I have no sense of time...

The crafty buggers reeled me in with their dishonest advertising. The 'extra features' amount to... wait for it... a brief article in the soddin' colour supplement.

I got it too. It's two quid for a travel copy, it's OK. One you don't mind lending to people, it's less than a pint.

I'm writing to complain - something I very rarely do. They know very well what is meant by 'extra features'. They set out to seduce an army of W&I fans by lying to them. Tossers.

Two quid? You can stick it up your arse for nothing, and fuck off while you're doing it.

It's 'stuff' it up your arse, and you missed 'you're out of your mind'.

I didn't expect anything special, so I'm satisfied enough.

I have 2 copies of the film already, guess I don't really need a third. Wrong region anyway.

That kind of misses my point, fairly dramatically - am I the only one angered by such blatantly dishonest marketing? Forget the money, it's the fact that the terrible cunts lied that pisses me off.

apparently you ARE the only one angered, the rest of us are so used to being screwed that we don't complain any more.

resistance is futile, we're all just cogs in the machine.
