Notes from Underground - Fydor Dostoevsky
They found him wandering round Regent's Park with a cheap bottle of sherry...

And like a fool I mixed them and it strangled up my mind, and now people just get uglier and I have no sense of time...

I'm re-reading a history book about the last thousand years of prostitution in London. :D

I'm reading 'Redemption Song', a biography of the late, great Joe Strummer. I've just read 'The boy who kicked pigs' by Tom (Dr Who) Baker, it's a sick, depraved piece of writing that is also very funny and incredibly dark. Highly recommended.

Well done, old fella. He lived near me when he died. And I always loved his stuff since I first heard it in '79 Yeah I know I was a bit late. And, I still have my very very old clash tshirt from their first album and only this year did i find out the pic was taken on those steps in Camden market wot I must have walked past ohhhh, loads of times.

Dear old Joe. Mind you having spent most of my life thinking he was the coolest guy ever, I just have a sneaking feeling that actually he was a bit of a twat in some ways (mind you aren't we all?). Without explaining why, would any of you have any inkling as to why I might think that?

I picked up one of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. Easy read, no big words.

These are the books that True Blood is based on, for the non-vampire among you. :vampire:

Well, give us a review then! Of either of them. Not enough book reviews on this Forum in my opinion, though everything else is EXCELLENT.

nor mine. And besides, i haven't finished either. If i were to write a book review it wouldn't be very good as it takes me so long to read one that most often i've forgotten what happened at the very beginning. :wine:
