Its all part of being an ACTOOOR, (read pathetic egoist wanting mindless adulation from complete strangers)
Just like that curly headed twat from the professionals who just can't accept that it was the best "work" he has ever done so refuses to let it be rerun. Just think if it wasn't for this twat and his ego we wouldn't have to watch top gear on Dave we could be watching the professionals

Thanks, Bastard, for saying what I've always thought but never articulated before. I frankly feel SORRY for actors - however brilliant - and secretly feel, "You poor thing, can't you get a proper job?" (Films/TV must be worse than stage because you don't even see the thing through in chronological order.) With most of us, the adolescent "Look at me" stage doesn't last very long. Case of arrested development, then?

I'm probably missing something very important, so if there are any thespians in the Forum, please feel free to beat me up (virtually, of course).

the guy from the professionals was once(whilst it was being originally run) in a boozer in kirkham, as he was boning the landlords daughter. he was stood there at the end of the bar trying to let everyone know how big and famous he was, when my mate who was in their darts team at the time shouted his name, he turned round expecting some more adulation, and my mate shouted to him ' i dont care who you are, shift out the way, we've a darts match on here' he skulked away into the lounge bar after that. fame counted for nothing when it came to local darts pool and dominoes league matches!!

I wrote him a letter a year or two back, asking for a pic to be signed, and telling him how much I enjoyed his work etc, but Withnail was my fave. I got a nice card back saying 'thanks for the kind words, Chin chin.'
So i don't get that impression. But you never know I guess.

I would understand REG, as I would understand any of the main people involved, being a tad annoyed at the subject being brought up the whole time.

My experience of REG is that, in public he displays nothing but grace and gratitude towards BR, the film, the people who worked on it, the people of Cumbria, Cumbria itself, etc etc.

I think this may be more about Paul McGann, who also appears to love the film.

Maybe REG has said something in private to someone. And, if so, so fucking what! For reasons given above, I think most right minded people would forgive him.

Incidentally, we are approaching the 25th anniversary. Does anyone think anything will happen to mark it? Or has the fucker been milked to death?

I'd like to celebrate with a trip to London if you could just lower that terror alert.

Thats because London is miles and miles away. It's nearly as far away as the moon.

"Something's got to be done. We can't go on like this."

I propose we do something. London would seem to be more convenient than the Lakes.

More pressing is Bruce's new film. His first in ages. I think that deserves a double celebration in 2011. How about a trip to the premiere?!

Okay, who is saying they won't be making any celebration of any description regardless of the location. And your reason better be good!
