The dapper young man in the third picture was Thomas Henry Harrison, Henry to his friends, who sadly passed away last year, he was working the land right up until he passed away in his sleep at the ripe old age of 80
... which definitely puts the benefit street bums to shame
Mike one of his his sons still manages the farm around Crowcrag and willingly allows campers to stay on his land for the picnic cinema screenings, he also lets excited fans pet his cattle and used to turn a blind eye to the hoards of visitors that came to pay homage, incidentally Henry told us that the shotgun used at the time for filming the "fishing" scenes was his, unfortunately the film crew returned it broken and he threw it in the scrap, if only he knew in hindsight what it might have been worth
Here is his obituary http://www.cwherald.com/a/archive/noted ... 11441.html
