I have survived!

A place to come and say hello and hang around and converse.

Ok, this has nothing to do with the topic, but I've had a very weird experience. When I am at work and bored (which is often) I google people. I recently found an old friend and neighbor that I haven't seen in 10+ years. We exchanged a few friendly emails and then I got one very odd email that makes me think he's demented. Now I'm worried because he has my address and phone numbers, and lives about 4 hours away.

Now what?

You have to publish the odd e-mail so we can analyse it.
They found him wandering round Regent's Park with a cheap bottle of sherry...

And like a fool I mixed them and it strangled up my mind, and now people just get uglier and I have no sense of time...

4 hours away? That's pretty much half way across Britain. Unless he is willing to pay for a couple of nights in a hotel I doubt he will be willing to embark on such an epic trek.

Also post the offending email.

You're forgetting the fact that if he's a mental he's probably more likely to actually make an epic trek, demented people aren't known for their rational none-stalker actions. McFuck will be minding her own business one night when she looks out of the window and BAM! He's camped on her lawn.

Also, seconding the support for posting the mad email.

I deleted the mad email, and secured my house. Let's hope that's the end of it.

If this was Facebook I would "like" that. But it isn't so I won't.

The internet does seem to throw up some really weird people ( What are you looking at me for? ) 8)

Just remember some people on this planet are only alive because apparently, it is illegal to shoot them in the face.

This.

Offer him yourself. That might get his mental creative juices flowing into mental prose.

Today in work a fuel delivery driver wouldn't set one of his tanker wheels on fire so I could have a go of his fire extinguisher and put it out. Apparently I'm a bit mental and fire extinguishers are expensive to replace once used. Boooo. I'm not mental, I just know how to brighten up a dull work shift. 8)

Careful with that, they say fires and petrol stations don't mix well for anyone in the petrol station.

Thats the point, I would have leapt in there with my extinguishing skills and squirted foam all over the flames before they caused any explosions. I would have been a hero and as a bonus, I would have got to use a Chubb fire extinguisher.

Funny enough, two blokes that worked for Chubb came into the shop a few hours later, and I asked them if I could have a free sample. They said all they had in their vans were Chubb fire alarms. How disappointing. :(
