Oomska has posted this in the locations section of the forum, but i thought it worth mentioning in its own thread. 36 quid a ticket mind, but theres a free barbie and a bar too(though thats not free) camping overnight, toilet facilities, a live band before the film and of course, a full outdoor cinema showing of the film in its most memorable location. i doubt that this will ever happen again, as the refurbishment gathers pace and the place seems to soon be destined to be a family home again for the first time in nearly half a century. so, who's up for it, it might be a handy forum meet up, me and the mrs may well be there. and tim has said that if demand is high there may be a second showing the week after. so, anybody up for it, surely the weather has to break soon!!!!
only blot i can see is that they dont want folk leaving in the dark, so they seem to want to insist on camping to avoid problems with the farmers livestock. not a problem for me, but may be for some. if theres enough interest i could pick folk up from the station in penrith if they went by train or coach, so, any takers? like i said, this may well be sleddales swansong for fans to visit the place, i dont think i will ever return after the place is occupied.http://picniccinema.co.uk/picniccinema/ ... ithnail-i/
