I concur. Christmas music makes me want to jam chopsticks in my ears. :puke:

I used to hate Christmas but then I managed to engineer a situation where I get to spend it alone every year. Now I really like it. I usually eat a nice big fry up, drink a shit load of cider and enjoy some peace and quiet doing what ever I want.

That's exactly what I do, only without the cider, and maybe with a huge piece of fillet steak.

Xmas Day is the only time I get this house to myself so I make the most of the peace and quiet.

i stumbled on an aussie girl whilst looking for something else on youtube, girl called gin wigmore, very interesting sounding girl. more than a little of amy winehouse about her. one of those voices that burrows into your head and you cant stop drifting back to listen to some more.

Gin Wigmore is from New Zealand. But I agree, if you're not looking at her she can sound just like Amy Winehouse.

Wish I could arrange this, but I almost have to go to someone's house just to keep them from showing up at mine.

At least you won't be spending a boring, sober eight hours in work for the second year in a row while serving booze and cigarettes to drunk merry people that have popped out for supplies. :x

I could probably get away with it, I doubt there'll even be that many customers on Christmas day.

But I'm getting old and boring, I don't smoke anymore.

that's terrible that you have to work! Isn't there a Muslim or a Hindu that could fill in for you?

Honestly, I don't think there's a single Muslim, Sikh, Hindu or Jew in the whole of the county. I do not live in a very ethnically diverse place.

I moan about having to work it, but I think deep down I just don't give a shit really. If I wasn't at work, I'd just be sat at home on my own using the excuse that 'it's Christmas' to eat too much chocolate, get disgustingly drunk and continue my misanthropic daily routine. At least working will save me from a hangover.

Apparently I live in the second least religious place in the country. Norwich wins, and I went to Norwich once.
They found him wandering round Regent's Park with a cheap bottle of sherry...

And like a fool I mixed them and it strangled up my mind, and now people just get uglier and I have no sense of time...
