Withnail and I screening at Sleddale Hall

PostPosted by shagsack » Sat Jul 13, 2013 10:54 am

Despite my recent post stating that the ticket prices were too expensive, my lovely wife went and got two tickets for my birthday at the 11th hour due to a cancellation. It was a brilliant night that was worth every penny, the whole event was very professional and well organised. The audio and visual aspects were also superb. What a lucky chap I am seeing my favourite film on my birthday, at Sleddale Hall. Here's a few shots. Enjoy and give me some feedback.

The only program I'm likely to get on is the fucking news.

Don't think so, I think they understood that one must capture these brief, unique moments.

The problem these days is that people are often too busy trying to capture moments to actually experience them.

As well as capturing, I also experienced the moment, just held my camera in the air. Relax a bit.

Not sure on the aspect ratio, you may be right. There was plenty of booze flowing, no restrictions on taking your own in.

It was a truly memorable night. I will be returning for the screening next year (I hope there will be one) and I would recommend it to everyone.

I thought they'd all be out the back drinking cider...

and they were :)

See, when I heard about the screening, I cursed the ocean between me and Crow Crag, but then I consoled myself with the thought that it would probably be overrun by hooligans up to their shenanigans, a sort of hippie-fest that I was relieved not to have to go through. But then I saw these photos... it looks so ORGANIZED! So UNCROWDED! And now I'm back to cursing the ocean, the economy, and the likelihood that I will miss the next screening too. BALLS!
... followed by yet another anecdote about his sensitive crimes in a punt with a chap called Norman, who had red hair and a book of poetry stained with the butter drips from crumpets.

Doing my best not to be insanely jealous. And failing miserably...
