I put on when I go to sleep

I must know every word by now but I enjoy it every time, like a favorite album

I couldn't bear watching it in daylight. It is such a rich experience that you need to be surrounded by darkness, and preferably on your own, to fully enjoy it. Usually watch it just before I go to bed, re-enacting my first experience of the film which left me absolutely stunned ("What was THAT?").

Like your little green logo, by the way. What does it represent? Not Royalist affiliations, I hope, or Shagsack will be round to sort you out!

I feel the film has more of a relaxing atmosphere to it in daylight rather than the exciting tense atmosphere in a dark room (which i prefer myself)

Avatar-royalist affiliations? im a 20 year old irish male so we're not really into that. Its the football club i support

Thanks for clearing that up! Be careful about describing yourself as a 20-year-old Irish male football supporter. There are some creepy people on this Board who might want to show you their stamp collections ...

ALMOST watched it; but was outvoted. Lords of Dogtown instead.

have you seen the companion documentary Dogtown and Z Boys?

I was curious how Catherine Hardewicke could direct Dogtown and then go on to direct Twilight. Bah :vampire:

Hello Raymond, (simper simper)
Would you like to see my collection of etchings? I could offer you some Madeira M, dear (Hrrrm I mean sherry)
Can't find the etchings? Shall we look?

I'll probably watch it again tonight.

Will probably end up getting the Blu Ray, too.

I first watched it online about two years ago. I remember the day I got my DVD - 31st August 2010. It's one of my favourite possessions, by far my most watched DVD, even moreso than my beloved Doctor Who collection. Such a wonderful film.

Got the Blu-ray version a couple of months ago, just watched it now. Well it is the cleanest version yet, but only just. I picked it up on eBay for under £4, for that giveaway price I just couldn't help myself. While it is very nice, I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it. At best, it is marginally better than the DVD release.

The look I gives Withnail at the end in the rain, when he says "I shall miss you, Withnail". He knows that Withnail's fate will not be pretty.
