I think the point I am trying to make is that the technology used should not be the guiding factor as to why anyone watches a film.
I also accept that the story of 'The Artist' may not be to everyone's liking.

This was more of a 'flick through various parts to check it out' kind of thing.

This Must Be the Place - Quite slow, weird and confusing but also quite funny and ultimately enjoyable.

Might give it a go, as it looks like it has a reasonable storyline and should appeal to my revengeful type nature, I remember watching Hostel for the first time and rising menacingly from my comfy chair and shouting expletives at the moving picture type movie screen when the hero caught up with his tormentor in the bogs and relieved him of his fingers, mmmn nice.

I wonder if Robert Smith was asked to be his stunt double.

I made the mistake of going to see Battleship last week, thinking it was about WW2 rather than an alien invasion. The usual formula- big metal monsters get their ass kicked by gun-toting Americans accompanied by lots of stirring music... to be avoided!

tried to watch Buffalo '66 last night but it nearly made me want to kill myself from boredom. So I watched Kill the Irishman with Ray Stevenson and it was much better. Lots of car bombs and such. Friday I watched Ides of March but it failed to live up to its hype. Still worth a watch if you like politics.

I am indeed doley vermin, as you guessed so uncannily- hence the aimless hours spent on the internet; that's when I'm not defecating, masticating or fornicating. The 3 pillars of unemployment, you were right again :) x

Add Withwine to longening list, It must be getting pretty crowded in that holdall.

"longening" does not sound or look right at the best of times but it is a proper word, said Stephen fry as he denied all allegations.

I saw 'Marley' on a flight from Chicago, it's an excellent documentary about the great man. Charting his life from the mean streets of Jamaica, interviewing everyone who was close to him, it presents an absorbing portrayal of a man who strived for peace through his music. See it, you won't be disappointed.
The only program I'm likely to get on is the fucking news.
