I've disliked clowns ever since Stephen King's IT.

Although Mr Jolly/Jelly from Psychoville was ok.

Dredd

It should be noted that i watched this on UK DVD release and that i did not watch the 3D or blu-ray versions which are supposed to be of poor quality.

Any fans of the 2000AD comics will appreciate Dredd as a fairly accurate account in the day of the life of a Mega City Judge. It's not complicated by deep story lines or even much character back ground. This movie is just brutal action and impressive visuals all the way through. Having such a simple premise Dredd could be taken for being just another daft action film, but it's not. Also, forget the stupid Stallone bullshit Judge Dredd film. This film is fucking harsh and what the life of a Judge is about.

I really enjoyed Dredd. I've seen the 3D blu-ray version, thought it looked excellent. I hadn't heard of it supposably being poor quality? Surely even if it is, it's still going to look better than DVD. Granted DVD might hide naff FX better, but I didn't find the FX to be poor.

"12 Years a Slave". Went to see it, honestly, because I'm in love with Benedict Cumberbatch. However, was completely blown away by this film. It literally changed my life.
... followed by yet another anecdote about his sensitive crimes in a punt with a chap called Norman, who had red hair and a book of poetry stained with the butter drips from crumpets.

I'd recommend American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street.

I saw Gravity and was entertained, but not blown away. Too many impossibilities.

I liked Catching Fire better, and although I have read the books, I'm not a drooling fangirl.

I don't go the the theatre very often, as the tickets are $10+ and not in my budget.

I never go the cinema but I think I'd actually pay the outrageous ticket prices to see this. Although I'll probably just wait and download it when it comes out on dvd.

Also, you seem to have an excellent taste in men. I like Cumberbatch too, and him dressed up in period clothing? Mmm yes please. :D

Cumberbatch is growing on me. Hiddleston also.

Been watching Sherlock - he's a dick but I like the show anyway

Apparently Benedict Cumberbatch eats egg white omelette with kale.
They found him wandering round Regent's Park with a cheap bottle of sherry...

And like a fool I mixed them and it strangled up my mind, and now people just get uglier and I have no sense of time...
