Fuck me Santa... That's a weird film.

Big Lebowski is good and you must watch it many times, and drink White Russians.
They found him wandering round Regent's Park with a cheap bottle of sherry...

And like a fool I mixed them and it strangled up my mind, and now people just get uglier and I have no sense of time...

me and the mrs went to see this last night. fuck me i thought it was never going to end!! last film i saw that had an intermission in the middle was the sound of fucking music!!
as usual, huge budget and megga special effects fail to hide the fact that theres little or no plot. very much a live action cartoon, after an hour you just become desensitised to the special effects, "oh look, and its another huge shipwreck, " "oh look and another massive fight scene" it was so cartoon like that they might well have started hitting each other with ACME anvils and frying pans! the fact that the entire franchise of 3 films was based on nothing more than a fairground ride at a disney theme park shows up well. not bad to watch and the kids love all the action, but a bit dull!!!! and whilst the laydees all love mr's depp and bloom, and everyone giggled at mr richards playing depps dad, errol flynn it aint!!!!

I enjoyed the first one, but thought the second was too long. Based on your review I may pass on the third, or wait for the dvd so I can pause for intermissions.

best film review i ever saw was for highlander 2, the review was simply, the tag line in highlander(1) was that 'there can be only one' why then did they not heed their own advice!!

fookin classic!!!

Did the Highlander Sequels have the same plot line base? Because at one time or another I've watched most of them, possibly all of them, and I'm sure the plotlines weren't just contradictory in small ways, like lots of things, but completely different. I do like the fact that a Spanish guy who spends hundreds of years in Japan sounds more Scottish than the so-called 'Highlander' though.

That was my favourite film for years and years that was, I enjoyed it loads more as an adult than a child, probably cos I understood all the drug references :)

I decided I should have another watch of this brilliant film again last night,..
it's truely great,.. shed-loads of top-class british actors in it (including Gielgud in it hot from the 'labour exchange)
Music by Ravee Shankar (sp) ,.

I guess you are talking about that Disney one CP. This one is by Jonathon Miller and shot in black and white.

3 and a bit wot I watched in the last week or so ,..

The Jerk,.. very very funny,..

The Thing,.. Brilliant film, great special effect (not CGI bollox),.
I wonder, if hollywood made a remake, would they include a female part for the typical 'romance' bit that seems to be put into all hollywood films nowadays!!

The Young One,..(a film by Luis Bunuel) ,.
Bit controversial due to its subject matter*, but very watchable.
I've just got his boxset, so expect me to suggest a few more of his films.

*The use of the 'N' word makes you flinch, as does the mans advances on the young girl :x

I tried to watch 'Hannable' the other night, but it was either over-complicated and too long, or I was more stoned than I thought I was. I only watched about half of it,.
Not even Julianne Moores tits nearly popping out at the end could save it
