Help! I can't keep up!

Help! I can't keep up!

PostPosted by The Purveyor » Thu Dec 07, 2006 10:47 pm

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

While I welcome the new forum, there is just too much to read and respond to... so I find myself posting nowt.

On the old boards, you would get a couple of posts a day and it was easy to fathom what was going on.

Now, with the new vigour that everyone seems to have, it is virtually impossible.

Glad to see that Parkin is up with the pace.

while i sympathise fully, i have to say that i prefer it this way. it might be confusing and hard to keep up but its so much better than looking at a dead forum every day.

most forums are like this - you just cant expect to read every post.

Indeed. I've kept myself busy with certain thread and missed loads, but when 'my' thread die I've still got the others to catch up on. Me and juicey have always been involved n real busy forums - another one I frequent has 60,000 ish members and a few thousand of those active everyday. tend to find that ceryain members there will hang out in the fave places and concentrate on them.

Lets hope the place stays busy

nooooooooooooooooooooo it loads better like this. in the old place i found i never posted cos it was just so deathly quiet i lost heart, plus, wasn't this the point in merging? lol

my other haunt has thousands and thousands of members and guests post too, it's manic but it means there's always something to look at, at any time of the day.

keep it up i say 8)

I'm not complaining either, but I think it will be hard to keep up when I go back to work on Monday. I will try though; you all are my favorite friends

Summat needs to happen ,.. "we can't go on like this",.. maybe we should have an over 30's section,..
I would have joined this conversation earlier, but I didn't know it was happening,..

i have made quite a few changes tonight. i have solved the problem of not being able to keep up with all the posts by putting a drop-down box on the top right of the main page. it says "VIEW ALL POSTS SINCE:" and has a load of options ranging from 5 minutes to 6 months.

that will show you all the action there has been in the time you specify.

also i have added a "quick reply" box for those of us who are too impatient to wait.

I love a busy forum as most of the forums I'm on are either very slow or are dead at the moment.

Let's keep it going folks.... more is best!!
I shall miss you too. Chin-chin.
