Christmas shopping

PostPosted by McFuck » Sat Nov 29, 2008 1:37 am

A worker died and at least three people were injured after being trampled by a crowd of shoppers at a Wal-Mart in the New York suburbs.

The day after the Thanksgiving holiday is viewed as an important test of how willing consumers are to spend.

Police said a throng of shoppers broke down the doors to the Wal-Mart store in Valley Stream, Long Island shortly after 5am, knocking the 34-year-old worker to the ground.

JESUS TAP-DANCING CHRIST, PEOPLE! Is shopping that important to you that you actually have to kill someone to get to the bargains first? I saw people camping out last night in the cold so they could be the first ones in the stores this morning, but to actually kill someone??!?!
Don't attempt anything without the gloves.

I heard this on the news. Sadly, it does not surprise me.

If you have ever been in a crowd, you know how easily reason can be forgotten --- even if you are in the crowd and trying to stop them.
