So what will Blu-Ray do to it ??
Well, firstly one should imagine it'll widen and continue the distribution of the film which we all want and support. Secondly, a Blu-Ray disc will give us an opportunity to appreciate the film with all its problems in a high definition 1080p format
. It won't be perfect, it may not be what the director intended and it may have other misdemeanors, but it aught to be 'better'.
Unfortunately, it's released by a company that sounds like a porn distributor (Starz) who can't decide if "Anchor Bay" is a better name for selling its wares. Whatever they call themselves they don't have the ££££s to make this anything near ultimate with extras or a reproduction of the OST CD as they couldn't possibly afford the copyrights.
I'll be interested to see what other distributors have to offer but whatever they cough up for our delectation I'm really only interested in the film. I love the film.
I see the DVD is now @ £2.99 http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3298878/ ... oduct.html
That's a delivered price too from Jersey -one of those horrid little nonaligned-autonomous isles off the coast of Blighty. What a fucking cheek! Almost 3 full English pounds and not a penny in tax to the Queen's purse!
