Here's my latest run-in with the paranoid schizophrenic at work:
April 14, 2009
This morning at approximately 11 am I was driving east thru the parking garage when I almost collided with A’s car coming the wrong way around the corner at the east entrance. No actual collision occurred, as both of us stopped in time. I continued on to a parking space at the back of the garage. When I entered the breezeway between the garage and the building A was walking behind me, speaking in a low tone of voice, so low that I could not hear anything more than the word “crazy”. I continued on and entered the building without any further incident. I did report the incident to supervisors D and J when I arrived at my desk.
Later that day one of the packers called my attention to an envelope with my name on it that had been left in my in basket. When I opened it there was a client stuffer sheet with a wad of chewing gum stuck to it. I immediately took it to my supervisor. While I was in his office he received a call from A on his phone line. D told me afterwards that she said that if I touched her car she was going to hurt me.

After all this bs, all she got was a 'disciplinary action', even though management assured me that they were taking this 'very seriously'. However they did tell me that if there was one more incident she would be terminated. Hopefully this next incident won't be my death or dismemberment. My supervisor did tell me that they are reluctant to fire her because she's an 'elderly black woman' and has threatened to sue them for discrimination.
I would have given her a week off work without pay, anger management classes, and a public flogging.
Don't attempt anything without the gloves.
