'Withnail & Me: Photographs by Murray Close' exhibition

Was up in town [that there London] on Saturday and saw the following strapline on the cover of 'Time Out' (issue March 19-25 2009): 'Withnail and I: The on-set shots you've never seen before'. Two-page feature inside on pages 20-21, entitled 'Withnail and eye', showed various photos and in-depth descriptions by Murray Close. Snapped up a copy immediately.

This morning I received the following link. Apparently the 'Mail On Sunday' magazine had a spread.

The exhibition will be at Proud Camden from April 1st to June 7th 2009
Proud Camden, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8AH

Fantastic photos, thanks for the link. Some real, unseen gems here.
The only program I'm likely to get on is the fucking news.

would love to go, but can't afford it.
do we get 'time out' magazine up here btw ??

I've asked me nan to ask all her right-wing-nazi friends to keep the SS-unday Mail magazine if they have it.
I can't bring myself to buy it personally.

really great to see the 'fencing sceen' (to get back to the subject) shame it was dropped.
How much would you pay for that footage !!
Danny's here. Milf Hunter to his friends. Milf Hunter to everybody

one of my fav lines from the film ;-)

You'll have to be quick. I believe a new issue comes out tomorrow. If anyone sells it in Birmingham, it will be one of the major newsagents at Birmingham station. Coverstars are the 'Gavin & Stacey' boys [heard their new sketch show sucks. Not surprising. Comedy actors rarely make decent comedy writers (apologies if they didn't write it. If not, shame on the writers for churning out dross.)] If no luck at the station, email 'Time Out' about sending you a copy.

I wonder if that footage exists anywhere. Best not ask Bruce though! Can you imagine the scene?

"Bruce? For the 25th anniversary, can you see if you can dig out the fencing scene? Y'know . . . as a Blu-Ray bonus? Bit of commentary . . . ? That kind of thing . . . ?"

"FUCK . . .
OFF!"
