I heard the trailer....
The music then 'guess who's back?'

I thought the BBC had started dabbling in necromancy.
They found him wandering round Regent's Park with a cheap bottle of sherry...

And like a fool I mixed them and it strangled up my mind, and now people just get uglier and I have no sense of time...

And months later, no global pandemic. Nowhere near 60,000 dead, let alone in 1 week. Oh dear, you mean the media was just scaremongering again? What a surprise. Of course it might suddenly mutate into an incredibly lethal virus tomorrow but unless that happens I think its fairly safe to classify this one as ABSOLUTE TWADDLE.

THERE IS NO SWINE FLU - IT WAS JUST A FUCKING COLD COMBINED WITH MEDIA HYPE!

and the only surprise is that anybody is surprised. its just the fucking flu, no worse than any other years flu. the fact that 10 to 15 thousand mostly poor, old and sick people die every year from flu in the uk alone seems to completely fall from the radar of the chattering yummy mummys of the middle class media. but fuck me, suddenly something that may affect the healthy, and not only that, but its in one of their favorite half term holiday destinations, fuck me, youd think the bomb had fallen. how long before someone trips and falls to their death over a pile of stockpiled tamiflu somewhere in chelsea or kensington?? :D

maybe we should take a poll here: how many forum members have died from the swine flu? raise your hands if you have.

We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell...

I died 5 nights ago, in a fit of coughing, sneezing, blood-and-mucus spewing and oinking (so thats why they call it swine flu)
They havent even found my body yet. I keep telling people Im dead but they dont believe me.

Hold your horses!

Come the autumn (erm... now onwards) and the winter, isn't there meant to be a fresh outbreak?

All I can say is: wait and see.

I am prepared to be proved right or wrong.

what a coincidence, this supposed "fresh outbreak" comes at a time when ordinary colds and flu usually start sweeping across the country. They went through all this "swine flu" crap in the US back in the 70's. Nothing came of it then, nothing will now. Because it doesn't exist. All they do is wait for a time when people are getting colds and flu, come up with a media story about this new potentially lethal form of flu, create "swine flu" hotlines staffed by people who wouldn't know the difference between a cold and the black death, and they've created a deadly global pandemic out of nothing more than what happens every year. Of course the 60,000 dead never materialises, but it always could tomorrow.
Call me a cynic, but if there's one group of people who are consistently proven right when it comes to the government and media, its the utterly cynical fuckers.
