Nice work purv finding the news story, oh well it just confirms that we the sleddale hall fans own it again, it was pretty much common news around Shap but it needed confirming ,

I never really doubted you all but I wanted to see some solid evidence and this is fairly solid. I wonder what the implications are.

After quickly assessing the value of my mini cash ISA, my stocks and shares in MFI and Woolworths and ripping open the bottom of my settee I think I may just about be able to afford the roofless pig sty in the corner of the yard.

as i understand it. an auction is a binding legal contract. seb hindley will lose his deposit, and the house will go back to auction. if it sells for less than he paid for it, then its possible that u/u could persue him through the courts for the balance between his final bid and the eventual sale price.

Just got back from the Lake District. I saw a local news feature that announced what most people were predicting, Seb Hindley was interviewed in the Mardale Inn. He stated something about being with a new bank and trying to get the money together. He also said that it could only be turned into a family dwelling. He's clearly a businessman, and at £265,000, you would have to be looking at making your money back. I was up at Sleddale Hall for about an hour, when you have a good look at the place and see just what a state it's in, it would be cheaper to just have it knocked down. It will cost someone a fortune to renovate it. Who knows what will become of it?
The only program I'm likely to get on is the fucking news.
